Improving Interoperability Among Learning Objects Using FIPA Agent Communication Framework

چکیده
The reusability of learning material is based on three main features: modularity, discoverability and interoperability. Several researchers on Intelligent Learning Enviroimients have proposed the use of architectures based on agent societies. Learning systems based on Multi-Agent architectures support the development of more interactive and adaptable systems and the Learning Objects approach gives reusability. We proposed an approach where learning objects are built based on agent architectures. This paper discusses how the IntelUgent Learning Objects approach can be used to improve the interoperability between learning objects and pedagogical agents.

Providing Messaging Interoperability in FIPA Communication Architecture
We describe an on-going technical work done by FIPA standardization organization in the field of agent communication between heterogeneous FIPA agent platforms. The goal of this work is enabling flexible agent communication while providing sufficient interoperability. The flexibility is achieved by introducing several options for different layers of communication. Interoperability is assured by...
متن کاملA Protocol-Based Semantics for FIPA’97 ACL and its Implementation in JADE
There are fundamental limitations on using mental attitudes to formalise the semantics of an Agent Communication Language (ACL). In this paper, we define a general semantic framework for a class of ACLs in terms of protocols, and develop a method for designing and specifying a member of this class, and configuring it for a particular application. We then analyse the performatives and protocols ...
متن کاملTAGA: Trading Agent Competition in Agentcities
Travel Agent Game in Agentcities (TAGA) is a framework that extends and enhances the Trading Agent Competition (TAC) scenario to work in Agentcities, an open multiagent systems environment of FIPA compliant systems. TAGA makes several contributions: auction services are added to enrich the Agentcities environment, the use of the semantic web languages RDF and DAML+OIL improve the interoperabili...

متن کاملExtending Loosely Coupled Federated Information Systems Using Agent Technology
Different FIPA-compliant agent development platforms are available for developing multiagent systems. FIPA compliance ensures interoperability among agents across different platforms. Although most agent implementation platforms provide some form of whiteand yellow-page functionalities to advertise and identify agent roles and descriptions, there are no clear architectural standards that define...
